One of the most exciting things we did during our Alaska adventure was kayaking on Prince William Sound! WHAT?? I had never once thought about kayaking in Alaska, but as I was planning our trip I ran across kayaking tours offered by Sound Paddler. I mentioned them to Gene, and he said, “BOOK IT!” So I did! A few days ago I told you about the tiny town of Whittier, Alaska. We went there to take a glacier cruise, and I’m SO excited to tell you all about it! We took the 26 Glacier Cruise with Phillips Cruises & Tours. It. Was. Amazing. Truly! This was a splurge, and it was worth every penny. We spent 5 hours exploring the beautiful Prince William Sound. This is Whittier, Alaska which sits on the shore of Prince William Sound in the Chugach National Forest! About 200 people live here, and 90% of the 200 live in the tall apartment building you see in the middle of town! (Just think about that for a minute!) This lovely piece of paradise gets 15 FEET of rain and 20 FEET of snow each year! FEET, y’all!
