Currently – July 2021

It’s that time again! Anne over at In Residence has provided new prompts for a new month. Here are MY responses.

eating: an amazing pork grilled cheese sandwich for dinner just now at Clyde’s Table and Tavern in Cleveland, Georgia! The best smoked pork barbecue I’ve had in a long time on buttery, toasted bread with both cheddar and pepper jack cheese. With really good coleslaw and delicious (vinegar base) barbecue sauce. Y’all! SO GOOD!!!

feeling: peaceful…and hot! My husband and I are camping for a few days in the mountains between Cleveland and Helen, Georgia. It’s so beautiful and restful! And cooler than back home in Savannah by a few degrees, but still pretty hot!

going: to drink our way through Cleveland’s coffee shops over the next few days. We started with Farmhouse Coffee since my niece highly recommended it. She was right! (Isn’t it sweet! So wee!)

Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier – Lemon Lime – Hydration Powder Packets | Electrolyte Supplement Drink Mix | Low Sugar | Easy Open Single-Serving Stick | Non-GMO (Lemon Lime/16 Count) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IT9NLHW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_X5S6W2A2Z2WN393BPFYW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

ordering: these hydration packets for an upcoming trip…but we’ve already tucked into them! (Not an affiliate link!)

realizing: that time with our parents grows more and more precious as we (and they) get older. Everything is okay! It’s just hitting especially much these days, you know?

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to share how YOU would respond to a couple of the prompts by leaving me a note in the comments below. That would just make my day!

  1. So nice to catch up with you, friend. I know how you feel about spending time with the parents. Just hate that my mom lives so far away. But we are trying to get up there every chance we can now that life is returning to normal. So thankful she managed to get through the pandemic. It was a lonely year for her.

Glad you kids are off camping. Such fun. I am going to get PC into a camper or RV before all is said and done. Interested in those hydration sticks. They might be good for baseball Saturdays.

  2. Oh man, I think I feel a new craving coming on… that sandwich sounds good! How fun to be out enjoying a restful time + cute coffee shops. Happy July!

  3. That Farmhouse Coffee looks adorable! I just think a spot like that would be the perfect place to work…or own!!
