Currently – Wedding Edition – November 2019

It’s time to link up with Anne of In Residence and see what everyone is CURRENTLY up to.  We all follow the same prompts–they change each month–and it’s fun to see how everyone responds!

Our son got married last month, so I’m spinning this month’s prompts in a past-tense, wedding direction!

I am CURRENTLY, or I RECENTLY:

Picked:  My mother-of-the-groom dress, and I just love it!  I felt like a princess all day!  (Oh, the power of alterations for a perfect fit!)  The dress is the Dayna (GB041) from the Amsale Bridesmaids collection, and I purchased it from BleuBelle Bridal in Savannah, Georgia.  (That’s our beautiful daughter with me!)

Prepared:  Decorations for the rehearsal dinner.  My mom and I chose autumn items from Hobby Lobby, and the the tables looked beautiful if I do say so myself!  (Thank you, Mama!)

Tried:  Something new and fun!  I had never had my hair and makeup done for a special event.  What a treat that was!  Thanks, Nicole!  You did a great job on all the bridal party ladies too!

Felt:  All the feels!!!  So very happy for E and H!  Blown away by how he looks at her!  Excited for their future together!

(I want to mention that the wedding was held at the beautiful Woodlawn Plantation near Guyton, Georgia.)

Man, I could just sit here and think about this wedding day all afternoon!  I plan to do that for PART of the afternoon, anyway.  I want to write down my memories of the day so I don’t forget them.  I prayed for a joy-full day, and God provided sunshine, so many smiles, and JOY all day long!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I appreciate your sharing part of your day with me!

(I spun last month’s Currently post in a hurricane direction!  You can read it HERE!)

  1. Hope you did take time to write in more detail about the wedding. You look absolutely dreamy in that dress, with your make up and hairdo. Such a lovely color on you. I am certain that the ceremony and festivities following were sweet, spiritual, heartfelt. Wishing the bride and groom all the love and happiness you and your husband have enjoyed.

  2. Ooh, a wedding currently – I love it! You look so lovely in your dress – what a beautiful cut and color – and the makeup too! The bride and groom look just about as lovely. Thanks for sharing about your celebration, and congratulations on officially gaining a new family member!

p.s. the mention of Savannah reminds me… I just booked our spring break trip to Savannah and Tybee Island. Can’t wait!
