Currently – April 2018

Currently0418

I’m linking up with Anne at In Residence and Jessica from I am Teacher Fit for this month’s Currently link up!  I always enjoy seeing how other folks answer the same prompts!  Here we go!

I am currently…

Showering:  business on my town’s brand new Culver’s!  Frozen custard, y’all!  Mmmmmmmm.  It’s a problem, really.

Cultivating:  deeper friendships.  This is something God laid on my heart a while back, and I’ve enjoyed being intentional about scheduling coffee dates, frozen custard meetups, and even camping trips with friends!

Expecting:  to put on more weight if I don’t quit hitting Culver’s for frozen custard every other day!

Buying:  frozen custard, y’all.  And produce!  Prep Dish continues to help me eat more yummy vegetables!  In my fridge right now I have an awesome spinach salad with mandarin oranges and pecans and a quinoa salad with cherry tomatoes and artichoke hearts.  Oh!  And breakfast hashes packed with veggies!

Cooking (Up):  camping plans for this spring and summer!  We have SO many ideas!  I need to sit down this weekend, do my final research, and make some reservations!  We’re eyeing Nashville, Asheville (again again!), and several other places.

Are you a fan of Culver’s frozen custard?!?  Are YOU planning camping trips?  Chime in below by leaving a comment!  I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Have I taken you to Whit’s yet? Whit’s is gonna kill my weight-loss plans. (last night we had mocha toffee!!! OMG!!) Yay for deeper friendships and camping trips!

    1. NO!!! And I think we should correct this problem! The good thing about my Culver’s obsession is that I know I have to make good food choices elsewhere in my days, and I’m more interested in exercising if that means I can have frozen custard some days! LOL! #incentive

  2. Okay, let’s put that on the todo list for when you come back down here. Beach day sometime soon???

  3. Oh goodness, if we got a Culvers here, I would be there daily! I remember back in WI, I passed one driving into town and always had to see what the flavor of the day was, haha! Happy Wednesday!

  4. Mmmmmm that is a good place to shower your $$ 🙂 And I’ve never managed to get to Nashville OR Asheville, but I’ve heard such good things about both and would love to plan a trip. Especially as it’s snowing here right now…

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Anne! You really must visit Asheville! So much good food and so many things to do! Chattanooga is another of our favorites. You guys would LOVE the aquarium in Chattanooga!

  5. Ooh frozen custard. That sounds so good right now. I really need to get better at eating well, especially with the warmer weather coming in the next couple months. I’m going to want ALL the ice cream then. haha

    1. Oh, I hope you DO try camping! You might want to start with a cabin at a KOA campground. I’m plan to share some posts about camping for newbies really soon! Stay tuned!
