Michael Ann’s Kitchen
Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by on this, the first day of Michael Ann’s Kitchen. When picking a topic for the Write 31 Days Challenge, this immediately sprang to mind. I spend a LOT of time in my kitchen. It’s one of my happy places!
I do a lot of cooking AND baking here. It’s also my command center for daily life. It’s ALSO the place where my husband, daughter and I do a lot of catching up. This room has seen many fun conversations, some serious discussions, and much goofing off!
To get us started, here’s a peek at my kitchen. We’ve been in this house almost two years now, and I’m still getting my cabinets and storage dialed in! It’s a work in progress, for sure!
The kitchen has a great layout. It’s super easy to cook in.
One thing I love about it is that you can’t see any dirty dishes when you walk in the front door of the house! That was (seriously) a required feature when we were looking at house plans.
I appreciate having a pantry. I’m still working on organizing it better. No pictures of the inside today! Maybe another time!
The island is my command center. I work from here ALL the time.
So pull up a chair and let’s chat! Here, I have a place ready for you, complete with a glass of sweet tea! (Because I *am* a Georgia girl! Sweet tea required. Don’t tell anyone, but I sweeten my tea with stevia now!) Oh! You prefer coffee? Okay! Here you go!
Enjoy some Pumpkin Dip while we get acquainted!
I look forward to hanging out with you and discussing all things kitchen! Feel free to leave a comment below and let me know who you are and where you’re from!

Thanks, April! Enjoy the recipe! I like it with either graham crackers or Nilla Wafers!
So lovely! This is going to be a fun month!
Thanks for stopping by, Jenny! I just remembered a fun story of you and me in the kitchen that just might have to be shared this month!
This is just lovely. I really like your kitchen and the layout is just what I am looking for. It’s going to be so fun getting to “chat” with you each day 🙂
Thank you, Jakki! This layout is a little better than some of the military housing kitchens I’ve known over the years! LOL! Thank you for stopping by and cheering me on on my first day. Please DO come back often!
Love your writings…love your kitchen…love you.
Judy! You just made my day, sweet lady! I love you too!
What a great kitchen! I love how you can sit at the island with your laptop. I can see why you love spending time there. Looking forward to reading your series.
Thank you, Karla!

Hi, Christy Jo! THANK YOU for being such a great cheer leader! Hugs to you!
Fun, fun! Your kitchen is beautiful.
Thanks for coming by, Teresa, and for the kind words!
I LOVE your kitchen! I totally wish I could come visit for coffee. I love pumpkin dip too but usually have mine with cinnamon sprinkled pita chips done in the microwave. Hoping your pantry will be one of your days! 🙂
That’s a great idea Donna!
That IS a great idea, Donna! Thanks! I do plan to open my pantry, so to speak, at some point this month. I just need to tidy a bit first! Stay tuned!
What a beautiful kitchen! Looking forward to reading more posts!
Thank you, Phyllis! Thanks for coming by and leaving a note too!
I love your kitchen and I love you! This is going to be so fun! That pumpkin dip recipe looks good! I may have to try it! (Wondering how to make it more on plan? I like Donna’s idea of cinnamon sprinkled pita…)
Oh, girl! I love you too! Thank you for all your help getting this challenge rolling! The pumpkin dip could easily be sweetened with stevia, and I wonder if Cool Whip could be replaced by the real deal? It wouldn’t hold as long. Maybe a half batch with real whipped cream? I’ll try it and let you know!
Hello sweet friend! Love your kitchen!! Thanks for the recipe, can’t wait to try it and I’m so looking forward to your future posts! You have an awesome blog!!!!
Well done! Waiting on the pantry reveal! 🙂
