Currently – April 2022

I am currently…

*happy sigh!*

getting: OUTSIDE! Camping season has begun!

We loved jumping on the trails right from the campground! What a treat!

going: to some of our favorite campgrounds. We camped at the McDowell Nature Preserve near Charlotte, North Carolina last month, and we’re planning to camp at the FDR State Park in West Georgia in a few weeks.

planning: meals for our camping trips. Last month I prepped everything for fajitas and then cooked it up real quick one night for dinner with friends. (Our first time camping with friends, and it was wonderful!) Another day we had slaw dogs! One of my favorite camping foods!

We met Tony and Laura last year when we traveled to Israel with the incredible Israelux Tours. We’re SO thankful they camped with us last month! Was great to see them again and invest in our friendship! (They’re on the left. Gene and I on the right!)

posting: camping tips, very soon! I plan to share some of our hard-earned wisdom that helps make our camping trips easier and more fun. Stay tuned! (One tip: Pack a welcome mat to put at the door of your tent and a small rug to put just inside. Keeps dirt from getting tracked in!)

Spring was just getting started in Charlotte.

thinking: about fall camping trips. We tent camp, so spring and fall are our primary camping seasons. We need to book soon since sites fill up super fast these days! Where should we go?!? I’m eyeing Asheville and Chattanooga. (No surprise there!) Maybe Charlotte again? (We LOVE that campground!)

Do YOU like to camp? Are you getting outdoors these days? What do you like to do for fun? I’d love for you to leave a comment below!

After you leave a comment, hop over to In Residence to see how others responded to these same five prompts! I guarantee you’ll be inspired and will add a couple of ideas to your springtime adventure list!

Thanks for stopping by!
