Nashville: The Food! (Brunch)

Nashville: The Food! (Brunch)

My sweet husband has wanted to go to Nashville, Tennessee for a long time, and we finally made the trip over the 4th of July holiday. I’m so glad we did!

I wasn’t sure what to expect in Nashville, but I was struck by three things: the music, the history, and the food. Today I’ll share some of our favorite food experiences, and then I’ll share some about the music and history over the next few days.

img_8911We focused on breakfast/brunch and dinner, and one fabulous brunch place was Just Love Coffee. I wrote about it earlier this week, so I hope you’ll click HERE and read about how wonderful it was. I shared some super good news for my Pooler/Savannah peeps, so don’t miss it!

We also discovered Yeast Nashville. What a happy day that was! We went back a second time and stocked up on kolaches for the trip home!

Yeast Nashville is tucked away in a little building not too far from the downtown area, and it was really hopping both times we were there. The first time we went, I got a breakfast burrito and an apple kolache.

Here are some of the other treats we tried. Everything was delicious. I loved the busy, happy, relaxed vibe of Yeast Nashville and its staff.

Some dear friends of ours insisted that we MUST drive out to Loveless Cafe. We did, and these dear friends are even dearer today! Loveless Cafe is a little ride out from Nashville but is totally worth it. Be prepared for a wait. Enjoy the cute shops, and the time will fly right by!

We ate a heavy brunch here, and everything was really tasty. We bought a jar of the blackberry preserves to take home with us because they were so good!

Talking about all this food has made me hungry!  Time for a snack!  I’ll wrap this up for today and tell you about MORE great food places in my next post!  (Full disclosure, I’m writing this post whilst hurtling down I-95 just north of Macon.  It’s okay.  Gene is driving!  We’re about to hit Ocmulgee Brewpub in Macon for lunch!  Watch Instagram for pics from that!)

Do you know of any other great brunch places in Nashville?!?  Leave me a comment and let me know!
