Springtime Fun List!
It’s time for some springtime fun, y’all! I’m linking up with some lovely ladies to share our bucket lists for spring. I’m calling mine a Springtime Fun List! Yay!
Spring sprung around here (Coastal Georgia) weeks ago, so I *might* have taken just a teensy-weensy head start! Behold my list of spring wonderfulness goals!
- Go to the beach at least twice.
- Try two new restaurants in downtown Savannah.
- Go to Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
- Take a trip to Alaska.
- Buy a new Easter dress.
- Get a new, official (professional) picture of Gene and me.
- Focus on Easter by observing Lent.
- Make and put up some springtime decorations in the house.
- Go kayaking in a new location.
- Write at least one REAL letter or note to a friend each week.
I bet you can’t tell which ones I *might* have done/started early! I’ll post updates as I work through the list, so pop back in often to follow along.
(You’ll find updates about how I did on my list here and here. And check out my summertime fun list here!)
I’m eager to see what the other ladies are planning to do. Here are their links so we can ALL get some good ideas for things to do this season.

First of all, your graphic is uplifting and joyful and springy. And love the color of the font you used for your list. Equally uplifting and eye-catching. Now that list! Such good activities. Beach twice? I’m in!! If only there was water near here. And having a professional photograph taken of you and Gene. We need to do that, too. I really wanted to get one of all the girls when we were in KY with my mom but things were so hectic that it didn’t happen. Makes me sad. Be sure to get that photo done! So important. And getting a head-start is just wise time management. XO
Thanks, Leslie, for all the kind words! You speak my love language, lady! (Words of Affirmation girl right here!) And I like your spin on my getting a head start being wise time management! That made me laugh! Thanks for stopping by!
Oh, and thanks for inviting me to join you on this!
Thank you for always being so supportive. Hey, I didn’t realize (or had forgotten) you were a stamper. I attend a monthly stamp club get together. I don’t do a lot of stamping on my own but I do enjoy it. Where do you get your supplies?
I was into stamping years ago and still have all my stuff. Most of my markers have dried up, but my stamp pads seem to be okay. Maybe I’ll take some time to hit Pinterest up for some card ideas. I’m way out of practice! How fun that you have a stamping group!!! I didn’t know if anyone still stamped! Maybe we can do a Skype stamping date sometime!
Yes to a Skype-Stamp party! My sister and I scrap and Skype and call it Skryping.
It’s so funny how our lists really differ depending on our region of the country. For example, going to the beach during the spring is going to be pretty cold up here in Michigan! Haha. But your list sounds like a lot of fun! Alaska?!
Ha! That’s a good point! Spring for ME is going to look a lot different from spring for YOU! I have the good end of the stick for now, but come summer I’ll want to be heading YOUR direction! Alaska! Our son is stationed up there, and we’re heading up to see him! And Alaska too, of course. 🙂
The beach one caught my eye too. I am dreaming of the day when it is warm enough to go to the beach. That shall be on my summer list for sure. The trip to Alaska also sounds really fun. I also love your last one about writing a real letter or note. Those personal touches are always so welcome. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by, Dani! We’ll have beach weather here THIS WEEK! It’s nuts! Today we’re having a 35 degree temperature swing. Oy! Temps will be all over the place for the next while but definitely getting warmer and warmer. And isn’t REAL mail fun?!? I’m really looking forward to sending some! (Now I want to get my stamping stuff out and make cards. Must. Focus. Must. Focus.)
Hmm, my guess is that Alaska might have been started early? 😉
We are taking our first trip to the South this spring, so I’m looking forward to your Savannah restaurant shares! And I see kayaking made both of our lists – it will be fun to see the difference in scenery between your water body and mine!
LOL! Planning for Alsaka has definitely already started, yes! I’m headed up in a few weeks to work at some homeschool conventions, then my husband and daughter will fly up so we can all see our son! I’m excited! You’re coming to Savannah?!? I’ll definitely hook you up with some restaurant recommendations! And you like kayaking too?!? Cool! Look back a few posts on my blog to see pics from our newest location. It looks WAY different each season of the year. Thankfully we’ve not seen any alligators there; they’re THERE but we’ve not seen them. I’m okay with that!
What a fun list! I wish your “go to the beach” list included me! Alas my spring is too full of conventions!
I hope we can go together at some point this year!
