Springtime Adventure List!

Springtime Adventure List!

Whoop whoop!  After being out of blog land for several weeks (I’m looking at you, Winter Olympics, post-Olympics sleep deprivation, and back spasms), it’s time to plug back in!  Let’s kick the new season off with a Springtime Adventure List!  Here are my fun “to-do” items for Spring 2018.

•Go camping at least two times.  We’re heading out soon to camp in Thomasville, Georgia, one of my most favorite places!.  From there we’ll make a day trip to Providence Canyon State Park for some hiking.  Stay tuned for the full report and pictures!

•Organize the laundry room.  This won’t be fun in the doing, but it sure will be fun to have it done!  After making great strides in organizing my kitchen and pantry, I’m excited about getting this room under control!

•Have a picnic in Forsyth Park in Savannah.  This was on a previous list.  We *did* have a picnic in a great place, just not in Forsyth Park!  The people watching in the park is great, and I want to hang out there and eat picnic food this spring before the inferno heat rolls in!

•Continue meeting up with friends IRL.  For the last several seasons I’ve been working on being intentional about getting together for coffee and a visit with friends.  This is a trend I totally want to keep going!

•Write at least 2 letters each month.  Yep.  I continue to work toward this important but apparently ever-so-difficult goal.

•Do the GYPO Spring Style Challenge.  I’m so excited!  I love these!  Want to join in the fun?!?  Here’s my affiliate link.  (You won’t pay any extra.  I’ll just get a small commission if you decide to sign up.)  And here’s a little video to explain what these challenges are all about!

•Go to the beach at least two times.  I am SO ready for the beach.  We totally had beach weather yesterday.  Today, not so much.  Ahhhhh, spring weather!

•Read at least two books for Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Reading Challenge.  What’s on my list for 2018?  Find out HERE!  I plan to write an update on how I’m doing so far in the next few days.

•Go kayaking.  It’s time to get out on the water, y’all!

•Work travel. I’ll be traveling to Rochester, Minnesota and Richmond, Virginia for work this spring.  I represent Sonlight Curriculum at homeschool conventions during the spring and summer, and it’s time to pack my bags and get into Sonlight mode!  I’ll share some behind-the-scenes peeks into what’s it’s like to work a trade show!

Thanks for stopping by Out and Back today!  What are YOUR goals for this spring?  Tell me in the comments below or link up with this fun group of bloggers!  I always get great ideas from these ladies!

  1. I love your list, especially the meeting with friends IRL. I’m trying to do more of that myself. Good luck on the laundry room. We have a whole basement that needs organizing, but so far that hasn’t made it on my bucket list. 🙂

  2. So glad to have you join us! Can’t wait to read posts and see pics from your camping trips. I approached PC about the possibility of us going camping/fishing but he didn’t ‘bite’. So, for now, I will have to live vicariously through you.

I remember the work you did on your kitchen, and I’m thinking maybe Sheila was along to help. I have such a small laundry area that there’s not a lot of room for it too cluttered because I wouldn’t be able to get into wash the clothes. I am putting together a spring cleaning schedule and getting started this weekend.

I’m going to sign up for the Spring GYPO style challenge, too. I don’t post and really don’t even shop like I did once upon a time when the shopping list would be released but I like seeing the outfits and the trends. If you want to pick a day or two of outfits and share them together on the same day on our blogs, let me know.

Thanks, Michael Ann, for joining us! XO
