Welcome back to Michael Ann’s Kitchen where this is Day 10 of the Write 31 Days blogging challenge! Come on in! We’re talking all things kitchen. So far we’ve discussed all these things.
Another of my favorite things in my kitchen is Halo Top brand ice cream! Y’all, it’s high protein, made with real ingredients, sweetened primarily with stevia…the list goes on and on!
And TODAY they released 10 new flavors! Behold!!!
The new flavors are: Pistachio, Black Cherry, Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate Almond Crunch, S’mores, Peanut Butter Cup, Sea Salt Caramel, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream and Cookie Dough. These are in addition to the original ones: Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, Lemon Cake, Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Mint Chip, and Chocolate Mocha Chip.
Here’s the scoop (see what I did there?!?) on the nutrition info. This is for the yummy Mint Chip flavor:
While this isn’t quite “on plan” for Trim Healthy Mama, it’s a stretch I’m willing to take from time to time. Usually I’m content with about a half cup of this since it’s so rich, and that’s the serving size, as you can see. But, really. If you have one of those “eat a pint of ice cream days,” you could eat a whole pint and not do a ton of damage!
Here are the ingredients for the Mint Chip:
Milk and cream, eggs, erythritol, prebiotic fiber, milk protein concentrate, chocolate chips (sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, butter, fat reduced cocoa powder, soy lecithin), organic cane sugar, vegetable glycerin, sea salt, natural flavors, organic carob gum, organic guar gum, organic stevia.
Again, I’m pretty happy with that!
So far I’ve tried Mint Chip, Chocolate, Lemon Cake, and Birthday Cake. All of them were good! I think the Mint Chip may be my favorite, but that can vary depending on the day! I got all wild and crazy one day and had a scoop of Chocolate with a scoop of Birthday Cake! (Yeah! I’m an exciting person like that!)
Want to try some? Click here to see which stores in your local area carry this yumminess! In my area, Kroger stores carry it. It is a happy, happy day when I stop in and find some on the shelves! The Kroger I shop at said they’re ordering a lot more of it because it keeps selling out! YAY!
I was going to whine a little bit about losing my whole Halo Top stash during Hurricane Matthew, but I’m not. Really. I’ll get more. I thank God for seeing my family and friends safely through the storm! If you’re my brother or sister in Christ, will you take a few minutes and pray for all the folks who were affected by Matthew and for all the electrical workers who are out there working crazy hours to restore power? I can’t even imagine how things are in Haiti right now. So let’s all take a few minutes to pray.
And then you can go eat some Halo Top ice cream! Maybe you can share a little kindness and buy a pint for a friend!
