Sunday Smiles

Sunday Smiles

Here are a few things that have made me smile the last few days:

baconjam

Made-in-house pimento cheese, bacon jam, and crackers at Bacon Brothers Public House in Greenville, South Carolina.  Bacon.  Jam.  Seriously!  Why am I just learning about this precious gift from heaven?!?  I’m already sorting through recipes for this amazingness, and I’ll share here when I make my first batch!

SLcolleagues

Working alongside these amazing colleagues of mine!  (I’m the fourth from the left!)  During the spring and summer I represent Sonlight Curriculum at homeschool conventions.  This weekend was our first event of the season, the Great Homeschool Convention in Greenville, South Carolina.  These guys are some of the smartest, hardest-working, and most gracious people I know.  It’s a pleasure working with them!   (You can see more photos of our team at Making the Most of Every Day.)

SLcatalog

The new Sonlight catalog!  This is a big deal EVERY year!  I’m looking forward to sitting down and reading it cover to cover and highlighting the books I want to order.  Yes, even though we’ve graduated both of our kids!  Sonlight has added some new books that I’m pretty sure I NEED!

The new “Collections” post on The Migratory Mind by artist/writer Cassandra R.  If you enjoy beautiful writing by a fun, quirky writer, you’ll want to check out this post…and the rest of the blog too!  I’ve enjoyed Cassandra’s unique writing voice since her earliest works.  (She’s my daughter, so I’ve seen her writing voice develop from the very beginning!  She was born speaking in paragraphs!)

What’s making YOU smile these days?  What do you think about Cassandra’s “Collections” post?  Have you ever tried bacon jam?  Chime in by commenting below!  (Click the title of this post to get to the comments area!)
